A Sunshine State speedster appears to be 50-50 on playing in the SEC.

Kendall Dennis, out of Lakeland, Florida, revealed a top eight on Monday afternoon (via Twitter) which includes Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. Also in the mix are Florida State, Miami, Nebraska and USF.

Listed at 6-feet, 172 pounds, Dennis is a 4-star recruit on the 247Sports Composite, rated the No. 31 cornerback, No. 55 Florida product and No. 337 prospect overall nationally. In February, Dennis took part in a regional edition of Nike’s “The Opening” competition camp and recorded a 4.40-second 40-yard dash, 4.41-second shuttle and 35.30-inch vertical.
