4-star St. Louis DB names 4 SEC teams in top 7
Lutheran North standout Toriano Pride is considered one of the top class of 2022 recruits from the state of Missouri. Pride has collected 27 scholarship offers during his recruitment so far. On Friday, he named a top seven that includes four SEC teams.
Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and Mizzou are in the 4-star defensive back’s top group, joined by Clemson, Ohio State and Oregon. Pride is listed at 5-11, 172 pounds and rated the No. 4 Missouri product, No. 14 cornerback and No. 124 prospect overall nationally in the class on the 247Sports Composite. Pride’s junior season Hudl tape, embedded below, also includes highlight plays on offense showing off his impressive speed.
Of his top seven, the most recent scholarship offer came from Georgia (March 3). He also received offers from Michigan and UCF this month.

At Missouri his friends and family will get to see him play in a lot of games. Anywhere else he might sit even if he is tied with the next best player who wants
his position.
Does that pretty much fit a lot of players who leave their home state?
I think you mean the opposite but your point is still clear…, and in every case it’s a legit reason to play closer to home…… among many reasons to stay home or go away. Indulge me with your ideas about this, run with this football a little so we can see where you want your point to go here.
I thought you were going to add something like… home state prospects could leap frog the development of their home state program or serve their NFL chances better…..etc.
But in this case they would also be taking a chance of having to
play against and lose to their home state program in a significant season defining game. Which side of that field do they want to play on?
Well it’s always a question and the position they play could also be a determining factor. Hey don’t hesitate to challenge my idea here, I appreciate your response.
If he gets a late growth spurt he’ll jump up the rankings even more. We’ve got a lot of taller DB’s both coming in and on the roster already but talent is talent so he’ll see the field no matter where he goes. Hopefully CoMo, obviously.
He does play with good speed
