By now, we all know that the SEC performed superbly in the bowl games.

While SEC teams won eight match-ups, they faced some adversity.

Here is a look at the 5 best performances against the SEC in bowl games:

1. Lamar Jackson vs. Texas A&M: Louisville has a star quarterback in the making. Lamar Jackson gashed the Aggies both through the air on the ground. He finished with 227 yards and two touchdowns through the air and another 226 yards and two TDs on the ground. He was unstoppable. Check out this 61-yard run:

2. Jake Rudock vs. Florida: The Gators defense is supposed to be its staple. But Jake Rudock and Michigan rattled off 41 points and had Florida on its heels all day. Rudock went 20-for-31 for 278 yards and three TDs through the air.

3. Jehu Chesson against the Gators secondary: The Michigan receiver was matched up with Florida CB Vernon Hargreaves in several situations, but came out ahead on the day.  Hargreaves was exploited on a double move by Chesson in the first half and was benched at times in the second half. Chesson hauled in five passes for 118 yards and a TD.

4. Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes vs. LSU: The Tigers won easily, but Mahomes thrived in Texas Tech’s spread offense. He put up 370 yards and four TDs with just one interception. But Texas Tech’s defense couldn’t stop the Tigers’ offense.

5. Michigan RB De’Veon Smith against Florida: It wasn’t just the Wolverines passing game that the Gators couldn’t handle. Smith had 109 yards on the ground.
