While the SEC had some prolific numbers over the weekend, a few players didn’t have the type of showing they had hoped for. Here’s a list of the five players looking to bounce back in Week 3 after disappointing performances:

5. Stephen Rivers, QB, Vanderbilt

Stephen Rivers is Vanderbilt’s starting quarterback– for now. Derek Mason named Phillip’s little brother the starter before the Commodores 41-3 loss to Ole Miss and after a revolving door of quarterback appearances in Week 1. Rivers threw for 60 yards and an interception on 6-of-25 passing. Through two games, Vanderbilt has looked like the worst team in the SEC. If they are going to shake that perception, Rivers needs to step up. A Week 3 matchup against Massachusetts will be the perfect opportunity.

4. Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss

Laquon Treadwell was part of an Ole Miss receiving corps that totaled 367 yards and one touchdown on 28 receptions. However, the sophomore sensation recorded just 31 yards on four catches. We saw Treadwell put up big numbers in Ole Miss’ Week 1 win over Boise State and that’s the expectations he faces this season. Expect Treadwell to bounce back with a big game against Louisiana-Lafayette this Saturday.

3. Al Harris Jr., CB, South Carolina

Al Harris Sr. faced many of the NFL’s top wide receivers as a pro cornerback, most notably during his tenure with the Green Bay Packers. On Saturday. his son made Eastern Carolina’s Justin Hardy look like Randy Moss. The younger Al Harris allowed Hardy to record 133 yards on 11 receptions in a surprisingly close game. The Gamecocks’ secondary has struggled through two games and the true freshman must see an improvement. However, he was have his hands full facing No. 6 Georgia this weekend.

2. Keith Marshall, RB, Georgia

Keith Marshall didn’t play in Week 2. The bye week may have been just what he needed. While fellow junior running back Todd Gurley had one of the most memorable games of his career, Marshall recorded just eight yards on six carries and looked like Georgia’s fourth string running back behind freshmen Sony Michel and Nick Chubb. There was a time when some argued that Marshall was the more talented back between he and Gurley. Now, Marshall faces questions of doubt entering his second game of the season.

1. T.J. Yeldon, RB, Alabama

Like Treadwell, T.J. Yeldon was part of a dominant group effort by the Alabama running backs, while having a forgettable individual game. Yeldon, who is listed as the Tide’s No. 1 back, rushed for just 43 yards on seven carries. In Week 1, Yeldon led Alabama in rushing yards and scored twice. Against Southern Miss this Saturday, he will look to have a repeat performance of his opening game and put Week 2 behind him.
