PFF all throughout the season grades and ranks players all across the country. They grade players by positions, as well as grade. They just came out with their final grades for true freshman, and it had a big SEC feel with 5 players on the list.

The highest rated freshman in the SEC is edge Colin Simmons from Texas. He has had an impressive season, as he has 31 tackles and 7 sacks. His biggest game of the year was against Mississippi State, as he finished with 7 tackles, 2 sacks and 1 FF.

Up next in the SEC is defensive back Eli Bowen from Oklahoma, who has 23 tackles and 1 interception this year. His first career interception was this past weekend in the upset against Alabama. It is a trend of defensive players on this list, as South Carolina edge Dylan Stewart is the next guy on the list.

Stewart was one of the biggest recruits in South Carolina history, and he has delivered with 19 tackles, 6.5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles. He has drawn comparisons to a former South Carolina great Jadeveon Clowney.

It isn’t all defensive players on this list, as Florida running back Jadan Baugh is part of a freshman Gator backfield with another freshman DJ Lagway that has fans stoked for the future. He has rushed for 522 yards and 7 touchdowns on the season. His biggest game of the season was against Kentucky, when he rushed for 106 yards and 5 touchdowns.

The final player on the list is Georgia defensive back KJ Bolden, who has 34 tackles and 1 interception this year. He had a big game in the win against Tennessee, as he finished with 8 tackles.
