Monday was the deadline for players to withdraw from the 2020 NBA Draft and return to school, and a number of big-name SEC players did just that.

However, for the guys staying in the draft, a few SEC athletes are projected to go in Round 1 of the draft this October.

As you can see below, CBS Sports analyst Colin Ward-Henninger has 5 SEC standouts going in the first 30 picks:

  • No. 1 — Anthony Edwards, G, Georgia — Golden State Warriors
  • No. 9 — Isaac Okoro, F, Auburn — Washington Wizards
  • No. 11 — Aaron Nesmith, F, Vanderbilt — San Antonio Spurs
  • No. 12 — Kira Lewis Jr., G, Alabama — New Orleans Pelicans
  • No. 18 — Tyrese Maxey, G, Kentucky — Dallas Mavericks

There are still a couple of months to go before the draft, so we’ll see how these players’ stocks change moving forward toward the draft.
