The college basketball season is heating up, and you can bet NBA scouts are paying close attention to the nation’s best players.

On Monday, Forbes analyst Tommy Beer released his latest Round 1 mock draft, and he included 5 SEC stars in the first 30 picks.

As you can see below, Georgia freshman Anthony Edwards is projected to be the No. 1 overall pick, going to the Golden State Warriors:

  • No. 1 — Anthony Edwards, G, Georgia — Golden State Warriors
  • No. 7 — Isaac Okoro, F, Auburn — Detroit Pistons
  • No. 8 — Tyrese Maxey, G, Kentucky — Charlotte Hornets
  • No. 21 — Aaron Nesmith, F, Vanderbilt — Brooklyn Nets
  • No. 28 — Kira Lewis Jr., G, Alabama — Toronto Raptors

There is still time for other SEC guys to work their way into the mix, so we’ll see if any of them (guys like Reggie Perry, Nick Richards, etc.) finish the year strong.
