Shemar Stewart is one of the most sought-after recruits in the class of 2022 with 33 scholarship offers. On Thursday, Stewart shared that two SEC teams are in his top group.

Stewart named Georgia and Texas A&M in his top 5, along with Clemson, Miami and Ohio State. Listed at 6-5, 260 pounds, Stewart is the 247Sports Composite’s No. 1 Florida product, No. 3 defensive lineman and No. 8 prospect overall nationally for the class of 2022.

Stewart was busy in June, visiting all of his top five schools. He also visited LSU, Florida and South Carolina. In July, he returned to Texas A&M for another unofficial visit. He has scheduled an official visit with the Aggies for the weekend of the Alabama game.

In late July, Texas A&M hired Georgia off-field assistant Bryant Gross-Armiento. 247Sports noted that Gross-Armiento was expected to help in the recruitment of Stewart. Gross-Armiento is from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, not far from Stewart’s hometown of Opa-Locka in Miami-Dade County.
