The NBA Combine is over, and that means the 30 teams are finalizing their boards ahead of the 2019 NBA Draft, which will take place in Brooklyn on June 20.
On Sunday, Bleacher Report’s Joe Tansey released his latest first-round mock draft, and he included six SEC players.
As you can see below, he has the Boston Celtics loading up on SEC talent, using all three of their Round 1 selections on players from the conference:
- No. 6 — Darius Garland, PG, Vanderbilt — Phoenix Suns
- No. 14 — PJ Washington, F, Kentucky — Boston Celtics
- No. 20 — Tyler Herro, G, Kentucky — Boston Celtics
- No. 21 — Grant Williams, F, Tennessee — Oklahoma City Thunder
- No. 22 — Chuma Okeke, F, Auburn — Boston Celtics
- No. 23 — Keldon Johnson, G/F, Kentucky — Utah Jazz
With the combine over, teams have gotten to see a lot of these players, so we’ll see how the actual draft shakes out when it takes place next month.
