We have less than 2 weeks to go until the 2022 NBA Draft in Brooklyn on Thursday, June 23, which means teams are finalizing their draft boards.

When the first round begins, we’re sure to hear a handful of SEC players’ names called in the first 30 picks.

CBS Sports analyst Gary Parrish recently updated his Round 1 mock draft and, as you can see below, he has 6 SEC standouts going in the first round, led by Auburn’s Jabari Smith Jr.:

  • No. 2 — Jabari Smith Jr., F, Auburn — Oklahoma City Thunder
  • No. 6 — Shaedon Sharpe, G, Kentucky — Indiana Pacers
  • No. 18 — Walker Kessler, C, Auburn — Chicago Bulls
  • No. 19 — TyTy Washington, G, Kentucky — Minnesota Timberwolves
  • No. 22 — Kennedy Chandler, G, Tennessee — Memphis Grizzlies
  • No. 23 — Tari Eason, F, LSU — Philadelphia 76ers

Will another SEC player work his way into the mix at the end of Round 1? We’ll find out in less than 2 weeks!
