Familiar names are on the list of updated betting odds to win the national championship from Super Book Sports.
Many of the programs have competed in the College Football Playoff in recent years, and are widely expected to be in the mix again this season.
Alabama, Georgia and Florida lead the way in the SEC with odds ranging from 3/1 to 12/1, but Texas A&M, LSU and Auburn are all in the 30/1 to 40/1 range.
Fortunately with the revised SEC schedule, the majority of those 6 SEC teams will play one another, and there could possibly be a rematch in the SEC championship game. It’s also interesting to point out that no other conference has as many as 3 teams represented as the Big 12 and ACC, with Notre Dame eligible for the conference championship this year, are also in the mix.
But value bettors may be fishing in that area of the pond as there wouldn’t be much of a windfall if one of the favorites took the trophy.
Star WR Ja’Marr Chase’s opt-out decision could also cause some to back away from LSU as the Tigers at 40/1 would likely need multiple big wins to be in the running to keep the trophy in Baton Rouge.

Florida 12/1
