8 SEC players named first-team All-American by Sporting News

The college football season is almost here, and that means All-American teams are being released.

Eight SEC players were named All-Americans by The Sporting News. Nearly all first-team preseason All-American lists include Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa, but The Sporting News’ included Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence.

Alabama headlined the first-team All-American list with two players: WR Jerry Jeudy and LB Dylan Moses. Seven different SEC teams were represented, including Vanderbilt.

Here are the first-team All-Americans from the SEC:

TE Jared Pinkney, Vanderbilt
OT Andrew Thomas, Georgia
DL Derrick Brown, Auburn
LB Dylan Moses, Alabama
CB CJ Henderson, Florida
DB Grant Delpit, LSU
P Braden Mann, Texas A&M
