9 SEC stars land on PFF's ranking of top 50 players in the NFL for 2022
The SEC produces some elite NFL talent and has for some time. That should prove to be true once again during the 2022 NFL season.
Recently, Pro Football Focus unveiled its list of the top 50 players in the league entering the season, and it once again featured a number of SEC stars. Though no SEC player cracked the top 10 (and that’s up for some debate), nearly 20% of the list came from the SEC.
Myles Garrett – star pass rusher for the Cleveland Browns and member of the 99 Club on Madden – was the highest-ranked SEC player. He checked in at No. 12.
Chris Jones, Derrick Henry and Justin Jefferson were not far behind. Here is the list of SEC stars on PFF’s top 50 in the NFL:
- 12. Edge Myles Garrett, Cleveland Browns (Texas A&M)
- 15. DL Chris Jones, Kansas City Chiefs (Mississippi State)
- 16. RB Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans (Alabama)
- 17. WR Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings (LSU)
- 27. QB Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals (LSU)
