College GameDay will feature a new face on TV this fall. The long-running and popular ESPN show announced today that Jess Sims will be joining Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard, Rece Davis and other contributors on the Saturday broadcast.

For Peloton members, Sims may look familiar. She launched to stardom after joining the fitness company in 2018, and has since taught millions across the globe. Sims has also taught boxing and high intensity interval training in New York since 2016. She should feel at home in the broadcasting booth as well, having been a host and reporter for the New York Liberty for the past several seasons.

For Sims, a turn on GameDay is about getting back to her roots. She has a passion for college sports, having played four years of college basketball at Trinity College, where she was a three-year captain.

Sims spoke with ESPN Press Room about her passion for the job, saying “This is such a great opportunity to get back to my roots in college sports and I can’t wait to meet incredible athletes and fans and explore these campuses and cities that eat, sleep and breathe their hometown teams.”

We’ll see what story she does for her first assignment this fall.
