Recently, ESPN fired host Adnan Virk for allegedly leaking company secrets to the media (despite the fact that ESPN seemingly does that sort of thing quite a bit).
Virk, who hosted MLB and college football shows on the network, isn’t taking his firing lying down, either. He’s reportedly planning a lawsuit, and on Tuesday night, he released a statement.
As you can see below, he said he’d like to avoid a war of words between himself and ESPN, though:

What happens next remains to be seen, but Virk’s statement seems contradictory, at best. He said he’s trying to amicably separate from ESPN, calling media reports “defamatory,” but also adding that he would like to fight the assertion from ESPN that he was rightfully terminated.
This is all very confusing, so we’ll have to see where things go from here.
