AJ Swann, Vanderbilt QB transfer, reportedly visiting SEC program Tuesday
AJ Swann announced in early December that he would be moving on from Vanderbilt after 2 seasons in Nashville.
Swann had an up and down career with the Commodores behind one of the worst offensive lines in the SEC. He threw for 22 touchdowns and just 9 interceptions with Vanderbilt across the past 2 seasons, fairly solid numbers at Vanderbilt.
And on Tuesday, 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz reported that Swann will be visiting South Carolina today with Spencer Rattler heading out the door.

Threw for 300+ yards in two of the six games he played in this year. Missed several games due to injury.https://t.co/b7gvLYDuiW pic.twitter.com/f2OfUzwj1U

Swann would be an interesting pickup for the Gamecocks should he like what he sees in Columbia. LaNorris Sellers is likely the top option for the starting job of those on the roster, but it’s no secret that Shane Beamer and Co. will look to the portal to fix that issue.
Of course, Spencer Rattler made it clear he intends to enter the NFL Draft on Nov. 29, just after the end of the 2023 regular season.
