Alabama’s loss to Texas A&M on Saturday night was sure to shake up the way college football analysts view the top teams in the nation.
Each Sunday, CBS analyst and former Florida State quarterback Danny Kanell releases his top 8 teams via Twitter.
Last week, Kanell offered the controversial opinion that Georgia and Alabama weren’t as far ahead of everyone else as most thought and that both were beatable.
That remains to be seen with the Bulldogs, who were dominant again Saturday in winning at Auburn, 34-10. But Kanell was on the mark with the Crimson Tide, who tumbled all the way to No. 6 in his latest top 8.
The loss by Alabama cleared the way for Georgia to move to No. 1, while Iowa moved up to No. 2 after a huge home win Saturday over Penn State.
Lots to shakeup in the #DKtop8

3. Oklahoma
4. Cincinnati

Also in Kanell’s top 8, which he has always said is based solely on resume, are Oklahoma at No. 3, Cincinnati at No. 4, Oregon at No. 5, Ohio State at No. 7, and Michigan at No. 8.
