Alabama vs. Oklahoma is expected to be one of several marquee matchups featured when the SEC releases its 2024 schedule on Wednesday night.

According to ESPN’s Chris Low, the Sooners will host Alabama in Norman during their first season in the SEC.

The official schedule will be released Wednesday evening, but this makes sense given previous reports. All 14 SEC teams are expected to face Oklahoma or Texas during the 2024 campaign.

Low also shared that Texas is expected to host Georgia as part of its 2024 slate.

This would be Alabama’s first trip to Oklahoma in more than 20 years. The Sooners swept a home-and-home series with the Tide in 2002-03, with the Norman matchup coming in ’02.

Since then, the teams have met twice in the postseason. Oklahoma upset Alabama in the Sugar Bowl in 2014, but the Crimson Tide got revenge in the College Football Playoff in 2018 as Tua Tagovailoa out-dueled Kyler Murray.

Oklahoma is 3-2-1 all-time against Alabama.

The full 2024 SEC schedule is set to be announced on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
