It wasn’t the greatest week, statistically speaking, for the SEC. The conference registered just one player among the top-10 leaders in the nation in passing (No. 10 Dak Prescott), rushing and passing combined. That said, there were plenty of players in the SEC, including several familiar stars, who flexed their muscles this week.

Here’s a look at the Week 8 All-SEC team.

OFFENSE

QB Dak Prescott – Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott has the Bulldogs rolling with their third straight win. The senior threw for 348 yards, the second-highest total in his career, and three touchdowns. Prescott also rushed for 117 yards and another three scores on the ground as Mississippi State drubbed Kentucky 42-16. He now has 2,302 rushing yards for his career, making him the Bulldogs’ all-time leading rusher among quarterbacks.

RB Derrick Henry – Derrick Henry and the Crimson Tide love their streaks. The Tide running back posted 143 yards and two touchdowns in a 19-14 win over Tennessee to run his scoring streak to 13 games — longest in both the nation and Alabama history. With Henry’s help, the Tide have scored in the first half of 111 consecutive contests — also the longest such streak in the country — dating back to a scoreless tie with Florida State on Sept. 29, 2007.

RB Peyton Barber – Auburn fell to Arkansas in four overtimes, but it wasn’t because of Peyton Barber. The sophomore barreled his way to 131 all-purpose yards (120 rushing) and found the end zone four times in the 54-46 defeat. The four scores give Barber 11 touchdowns in his past three games. The Alpharetta, Ga., native (770 yards) now ranks fourth in the SEC in rushing, behind Leonard Fournette (1,352) of LSU, Derrick Henry (1,044) of Alabama and Arkansas’ Alex Collins (787).

WR Travin Dural – Travin Dural sped his way to 132 yards receiving on the back of a 67-yard reception, the longest of the season for the LSU Tigers. It’s the second 100-yard effort for Dural this year and the fifth of his career, good for 10th all-time in program history. The junior from Breaux Bridge, La., snagged a 17-yard pass from Brandon Harris for a touchdown at 8:46 of the fourth quarter to put the Tigers up 41-20.

WR Laquon Treadwell – Laquon Treadwell continues to climb the Ole Miss all-time leaderboard, thanks to a 102-yard performance in a 23-3 smackdown of Texas A&M. The junior surpassed Shay Hodge for second all-time in Rebel history with 174 catches; and now ranks seventh in the program with 1,996 yards, just ahead of Mike Wallace. His four 100-yard games this season tie the Crete, Ill., native for third in Ole Miss lore.

Mississippi State OL – It’s safe to say that Dak Prescott had some time to make some plays in Mississippi State’s Week 8 win over Kentucky. The quarterback led the Bulldogs to a 42-16 win behind an offensive line that allowed Prescott and the offense to rack up 586 yards, second-most in school history for an SEC game. First was 593 in 1991, also against Kentucky in Starkville. The Bulldogs are bowl eligible for a program-best sixth consecutive year, thanks in large part to the large men that protect one of the biggest players in Mississippi State history.

“The guys were giving me running lanes,” Prescott said after the game of his line, via hailstate.com. “It was something I wanted to do. I wanted to take advantage of the lanes they were giving me. It was something I have to do going forward.”

DEFENSE

DL Marquis Haynes – Ole Miss defensive end Marquis Haynes made his three tackles count against Texas A&M as the sophomore tallied three  tackles-for-loss, including sacks of both Kyle Allen and his backup, Jake Hubenak. Haynes, the Rebels’ sack leader (5.5), also forced a fumble and broke up an Allen pass.

DL Corey Vereen – Tennessee defensive lineman Corey Vereen’s five tackles against Alabama took down QB Jake Coker three times and RB Derrick Henry the other two. The junior from Winter Garden, Fla., recorded two sacks for the first multi-sack game of his career and finished with 2.5 tackles-for-loss in the Volunteers’ 19-14 loss in Tuscaloosa.

LB Reuben Foster – Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster collected a career-high 11 tackles in the Tides’ win over Tennessee. The sophomore’s previous high was 7 tackles, set in 2014 against West Virginia. Foster finished the afternoon with two tackles-for-loss, a sack and broke-up a Josh Dobbs pass.

LB Dre Greenlaw – Fayetteville product Dre Greenlaw led Arkansas in tackles (16) for the third time in the past four games as the Razorbacks fended off Auburn 54-46 in four overtimes. Greenlaw also registered .5 tackles-for-loss and broke-up a pass. His 53 tackles are the most among all freshmen in the conference.

DB Armani Watts – Armani Watts might have had the biggest performance in the SEC in Week 8, despite his No. 15 Texas A&M Aggies getting worked by No. 23 Ole Miss. Watts’s 20 tackles were the most by an Aggies defender since Dat Nguyen dropped that many UCLA Bruins in the 1998 Cotton Bowl. The sophomore safety wasn’t done there against the Rebels, intercepting a pass, forcing a fumble and breaking up another pass.

DB Jamal Adams – Strong safety Jamal Adams earned a career-high 11 tackles to lead LSU over Western Kentucky by a 48-20 score. Of those tackles, 10 of them were of the solo variety. The sophomore also forced the first fumble of his career and nabbed a Brandon Doughty pass on third-and-10 with 2:07 to play in the third quarter for his third interception of the season — and first since Week 5 against Eastern Michigan.
