As of right now, 6 FBS conferences are planning on playing football this fall — the ACC, Big 12, SEC, AAC, Conference USA and Sun Belt.
However, as COVID-19 cases continue to rise in some areas across the country, other sports are getting postponed.
On Tuesday, the AAC announced it was postponing men’s and women’s soccer, as well as women’s volleyball, until the spring 2021 semester:

Here’s what AAC commissioner Mike Aresco said in a statement about the decision:
“We remain committed to providing our student-athletes a quality experience and competing at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics,” said American Athletic Conference Commissioner Mike Aresco. “We were prepared to conduct competition in the fall in men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball, but moving to the spring was in the best interest of our student-athletes as it will align our schedules to allow our teams to compete for national championships.”
Right now, football is unaffected. However, if things don’t improve soon, other sports could end up getting postponed.
