Anthony Hill Jr. is an elite linebacker in the 2023 recruiting class. In fact, the 247Sports composite rankings have him as a 5-star player, the No. 19 overall prospect, the No. 1 linebacker and the No. 3 recruit from Texas.

On Tuesday, he narrowed down his list to his top 12 schools, and 3 SEC squads — Alabama, LSU and Texas A&M — made the cut.

Below is a list of the 12 programs Hill is still considering:

  • Alabama
  • LSU
  • Texas A&M
  • Florida State
  • Miami
  • Texas
  • Michigan
  • Ohio State
  • Penn State
  • USC
  • Oklahoma
  • Clemson

Per the site On3 Sports, Hill explained why he is considering those 12 schools.

“All 12 of these schools have an elite defense,” Hill said. “I have a really good bond with each coach at every school on this list.”

Although Hill is considering going out of state, he has no problem playing for the Aggies or Longhorns.

“Being able to play for my home state would be awesome,” Hill said about the Longhorns. “Getting Texas back on the map would be huge.”

“Being able to play with a great D-Line and secondary to complement how I play is what A&M provides,” he said.

No word on when Hill will make his final decision on which school he will choose.
