Anthony “Tank” Booker Jr. is looking for a new home after 4 seasons at Maryland. The veteran defensive lineman revealed Friday that he’s considering 3 SEC teams.

Booker has Arkansas, South Carolina and Texas A&M in his final 5. He’s also considering staying in the Big Ten, as Ohio State and Purdue are options ahead of his Wednesday commitment.

A Cincinnati native, Booker was a 3-star recruit out of Winton Woods in 2019. He signed with Maryland over 15 other scholarship offers, also visiting Kansas, Cincinnati and Toledo.

With the Terrapins, Booker played in 29 games over the past 4 seasons.

Booker played in 3 games during the 2019 season, taking a redshirt. In 2020, Booker played in 4 of Maryland’s 5 games, recording 7 tackles (4 solo, 1.5 for loss).

Booker’s playing time increased in 2021. He played in 10 of 13 games, logging 9 tackles (7 solo, 1 TFL).

The 2022 season was Booker’s most productive yet. Playing in 12 games, Booker recorded 25 tackles (16 solo, 4 TFL) with 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and a pass breakup.

On the Maryland 2022 roster, Booker is listed measuring 6-4, 320 pounds.
