AP Poll vs. Coaches Poll: Comparing the Week 4 polls
As the season progresses, it’s hard to argue against a top-heavy Southeastern Conference this season.
With Ole Miss taking down Alabama, the Rebels jumped all the way from No. 15 to No. 3 in the AP Top 25. Is that an overreaction? We speculated Saturday that Ole Miss would be somewhere in the top eight, but the top three? I’m not sure many projected that, but no doubt the Rebels are a major contender in the College Football Playoff.
The other big winner of the week was obviously LSU. The Tigers thrashed Auburn behind Leonard Fournette’s 228-yard, three-touchdown performance that launched his Heisman campaign in spectacular fashion.
Interestingly, the Coaches Poll still somehow had Auburn ranked No. 25.
