The latest AP Top 25 is out and 6 SEC teams are featured.
In news that should not surprise anyone, Georgia remains on top. As 2-time defending national champions, the Bulldogs have been college football’s top-ranked team for 2023. UGA truly looked like the No. 1 team with a dominant 51-13 win over a ranked Kentucky team. The Wildcats dropped 3 spots after taking their first loss of the season.
Alabama left College Station as the only SEC West team without a conference loss. The division-leading Crimson Tide stayed at No. 11 in the new poll.
LSU handed Mizzou its first loss of the 2023 season. LSU moved up 1 spot to No. 22, while Mizzou dropped out of the top 25.
Ole Miss maintained momentum, picking up an important SEC West win over Arkansas. The Rebels were rewarded by moving up 3 spots to No. 13.
Tennessee moved up 3 spots while on a bye. The Volunteers share No. 19 with the Washington State Cougars.
