Voters in the Associated Press Top 25 don’t have a lot of changes to make for shuffling, but there will be some notable movement after the results of No. 1 vs. No. 4 and No. 5 vs. No. 8.

Many college football fans will not like seeing Notre Dame as the new No. 1 after beating Clemson 47-40 in double overtime. The Irish’s win deserves an asterisk because of Trevor Lawrence’s absence, but the AP voters kept Clemson at No. 1 after the Lawrence-less Tigers beat Boston College. With a victory over No. 1, Notre Dame has the best win among undefeated teams. As for Dabo Swinney’s squad, they should take Notre Dame’s old spot at No. 4.

Georgia will fall from No. 5 after a 44-28 loss to No. 8 Florida. Projecting UGA’s new ranking gets a little tricky as it is the second loss for Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs. Heading into Saturday, Iowa State was the highest-ranked two-loss team at No. 17. Since Georgia’s losses are to Alabama and Florida, the Dawgs shouldn’t fall that far, but there are a lot of undefeated and one-loss teams right now thanks to the Big Ten and Pac-12 seasons starting up.
