By the time he comes to a decision regarding his college destination, there’s a good chance Arch Manning could hold an offer from every Power 5 program in the country.

That’s not hyperbole either, as the young quarterback from New Orleans’ Isidore Newman is currently rated as the nation’s No. 1 quarterback prospect and the No. 3 overall recruit in the country for the 2023 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

It doesn’t hurt that Arch hails from arguably the most SEC-rich family in the conference’s history.

Taking that into consideration, it’s hard to see Arch not following in Archie, Cooper (his dad), Peyton or Eli’s footsteps and attending school in the SEC.

According to Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports, when asked about the coaches he’s currently hearing from, Manning mentioned the coaches from two SEC programs.

“I’ve been talking with a bunch of coaches,” Manning said. “Coach Sark at Texas, Coach Peetz and Coach O at LSU and I’ve gotten the opportunity to talk with Coach Saban, too. Really all those guys are good at what they do and they’re great to talk to and it’s just been great to get the relationships and bonds already.

“I just really love building a relationship. Really getting to know all of the coaches is important to me.”

It’s interesting that Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss didn’t get a mention there.

Could we see the next great Manning play against Ole Miss instead of attending school in Oxford?
