When Arkansas welcomes No. 19 Ole Miss to Fayetteville on Saturday afternoon, there will be a ton at stake for both programs on the first Saturday of November, especially for the Rebels because they still hold onto College Football Playoff hopes.

And while the 5-3 Razorbacks and 6-2 Rebels will share the same field in Week 10, they also had a little in common in Week 9 while playing on different fields. Both programs won their games last week, and on Tuesday 1 player from each team was awarded for their excellence, as Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green and Ole Miss linebacker Suntarine Perkins were named Walter Camp National FBS Players of the Week.

Green, named the Offensive Player of the Week, put on a show in a 58-25 victory at Mississippi State, completing 23 of 29 passes for 314 yards, 5 touchdown passes and just 1 interception. But the junior also did major damage on the ground, running 8 times for 79 yards and 1 rushing TD. Now, Green will try to make life difficult for the other Mississippi school in Week 10.

Meanwhile, Perkins, the Defensive Player of the Week, was all over the field in last week’s 26-14 victory over Oklahoma in Oxford. The sophomore had 11 tackles, 8 of them solo, and an eye-popping 4 sacks against the Sooners.

Fittingly, Perkins will now get his shot to chase down Green as the Rebels and Hogs do battle in a noon ET kickoff on ESPN.
