Associated Press names 9 SEC players to Midseason All-America Team
LSU’s hot start led by its re-tooled offense has put QB Joe Burrow on the Midseason All-America by the Associated Press.
Burrow and 8 other SEC players made the first-team, and the quarterback was joined by teammates Grant Delpit and Derek Stingley. The AP noted that Burrow’s 79.6 percent completion rate would be an NCAA record if he can keep it up.
From a national perspective, No. 2 LSU, No. 6 Wisconsin and No. 12 Oregon each had 3 players on the first team.
Ohio State had a total of 5 players on the first and second teams, most of any school. No. 1 Alabama had 4 overall selections, including QB Tua Tagovailoa on the second team.
