Average 2015-16 cost of attendance payout for every SEC school
Beginning this month, 65 Power Five conference programs began paying athletes full cost of attendance for the 2015-16 academic year, a step in the right direction for those in favor of giving players additional money beyond tuition, academic-related expenses and housing.
Only 17 FBS programs have an average cost of attendance exceeding $5,000 and four are from the SEC — Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State and Tennessee. Cincinnati’s cost of attendance is the highest nationally at $6,082.
Here’s a look at some of the numbers for the 2015-16 academic year, according to CBS Sports. Some of the figures are estimated.
