Big 12 holds off late SEC charge, wins annual SEC/Big 12 Challenge

Through the first round of game in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge, it looked like the Big 12 was going to run away with an easy victory.
The first three games saw the Big 12 go 3-0, with Texas A&M picking up the SEC’s first win in the second round of action. Eventually, the SEC made it close, and the deciding game ended up being Texas Tech’s 67-64 win over an Arkansas squad that put up a valiant effort on the road.
Here’s a look at how the Big 12 ended up with a 6-4 victory in the annual challenge:

- TCU 55, Florida 50
- Baylor 73, Alabama 68
- Texas A&M 65, Kansas State 53
- Oklahoma State 74, South Carolina 70
- Georgia 98, Texas 88
- Oklahoma 86, Vanderbilt 55
- Tennessee 83, West Virginia 66
- Kentucky 71, Kansas 63
- Texas Tech 67, Arkansas 64
It was announced on Saturday that the SEC/Big 12 Challenge had been extended for six more years, so we’ll get to see this fun annual event for the foreseeable future.
