Big Ten player arrested for allegedly plotting a double murder

It hasn’t been a good year for the Big Ten off the field, and that continued on Tuesday, when a Rutgers player was arrested for plotting a double murder.

According to NJ.com, Izaia Bullock is in custody for setting up a plot to murder two members of his friend’s family.

Per the report, Bullock has been dismissed from the Rutgers football team following news of the arrest:

A linebacker on the Rutgers University football team was accused Tuesday of involvement in a plot to murder two members of a friend’s family, authorities said.

Izaia Bullock, 22, a junior at the university from Linden, faces two counts of first-degree attempted murder and two counts of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder.

Bullock was dismissed from Rutgers’ football team Tuesday, a source with knowledge of the matter told NJ Advance Media.

Bullock is still incarcerated as he awaits his first court appearance.

His bio has already been scrubbed from the Rutgers team website it appears.
