Booger McFarland had an interesting take on Saturday’s Cure Bowl between Miami (OH) and Appalachian State.

That bowl game is being played in rain-soaked conditions in Orlando, Florida with both teams doing their best to hang onto the ball and stay on their feet. It’s far from optimal conditions to play a football game, but McFarland admitted there is one positive to playing in such an environment.

Fans should be warned that McFarland’s reason is indeed a bit gross:

“There is one upside to this as a defensive lineman,” admitted McFarland. “When you’re soaking wet, and it’s raining, and you’ve got to go to the bathroom…”

His co-hosts Dan Mullen and Kevin Negandhi instantly burst out laughing before McFarland could even finish. Most people probably wish McFarland had stopped there, but he insisted on going into further detail.

“Seriously though. You have to find some good in this,” said McFarland about the rain. “Normally you have to go back to the locker room, but since everything is wet? I mean, you just let it flow!”

It looks like McFarland prescribes to the notion that when you’ve gotta go, you’ve gotta go!
