A pair of SEC assistants were tabbed as finalists for the Broyles Award.

The Broyles Award, named after Frank Broyles, is presented annually to the top assistant coach in college football. Georgia’s Mike Bobo and LSU’s Mike Denbrock were both named finalists for the award.

Bobo, who was named offensive coordinator at Georgia ahead of the start of the season, has had a great first year at the helm, helping lead Georgia to its perfect record and working to develop first-year starting quarterback Carson Beck.

Denbrock, LSU’s offensive coordinator and tight ends coach, has also had an outstanding year, leading LSU’s top-ranked offense and guiding Jayden Daniels in his Heisman-worthy season. Denbrock has been in his position since 2022.

The other finalists for the award are Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein, Iowa defensive coordinator Phil Parker and Michigan offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore, who has served as head coach in the Wolverines’ final 3 games with Jim Harbaugh serving a suspension.

The winner of the award will be announced next Tuesday, Dec. 5.
