QB Zach Wilson won’t forget this bowl experience anytime soon.

He set a BYU record and tied an NCAA bowl accomplishment in a 49-18 victory as the Cougars rolled over Western Michigan in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Friday night.

Wilson passed for 317 yards and four touchdowns, but it was his 18-for-18 completion mark that ultimately stood out. Wilson rallied the Cougars from a 10-7 halftime deficit with two touchdown passes in the third quarter as BYU reeled off four scores in the third frame alone.

The perfect completion rate matched a 11-for-11 mark by Riley Skinner at Wake Forest in the 2008 EagleBank Bowl, according to the Associated Press.

Wilson finished his freshman campaign with 1,587 passing yards and 12 touchdowns.
