CBS college football analyst Gary Danielson thinks Alabama has too many aces up its sleeve for Clemson to handle.

In a telephone interview with SEC Country, Danielson made several poker references when talking about the matchup, and he thinks Las Vegas’ view of Alabama being a touchdown-favorite in the national championship game is a little modest.

“Clemson has a couple of cards, but it’s like pulling an inside straight,” Danielson said. “I think Alabama is going to win big.”

Danielson told SEC Country that Tigers quarterback Deshaun Watson is one of those players that could lead the team to victory, but he noted that the Crimson Tide simply has too many ways to beat you if those units produce.

That includes at running back (Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry), at receiver (Calvin Ridley), on either line or on any defensive unit.

Not to mention quarterback Jake Coker just had the best game of his career in going 25-for-30 for 286 yards with 2 touchdowns and no interceptions in the 38-0 win over Michigan State.

Danielson has certainly called enough games to know what Bama brings to the table.
