The 2019 SEC football season is inching closer and the latest sign of that fact comes from CBS.
The network has officially announced the initial set of games set to be featured on the “SEC on CBS” broadcast schedule for the coming season and interestingly enough, the network has bypassed the first two weeks of the season and has announced Alabama’s Sept. 14 trip to South Carolina has been chosen as the first official game on the broadcast schedule.
In previous seasons, CBS has aired SEC games during the first two weekends of the season. Another change to the lineup is a doubleheader early in the season, on Sept. 21.
We recently predicted the full slate of “SEC on CBS” games for the 2019 season and two of the three games announced by CBS made our list.
The network has also announced the annual SEC East showdown between Florida and Georgia in Jacksonville on Nov. 2 will be aired by CBS and in what has become a new annual tradition in the SEC, the Arkansas vs. Missouri game will be aired by CBS. Missouri travels to Little Rock this season to play Arkansas, in a game that was originally scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 30 but has been moved up a day to Friday, Nov. 29.
