CBS Sports analysts make picks in Tennessee-Georgia ranked showdown
One of the biggest games in all of college football this weekend is Tennessee on the road at Georgia. This is essentially a playoff game for the Bulldogs, as a loss would be the third on the season and all but eliminate them from the College Football Playoffs.
The Volunteers would still have an outside chance at making the playoffs, especially if it was a close competitive game. Tennessee could also be at a major disadvantage as QB Nico Iamaleava is still in concussion protocol.
With it being such a big game, everybody is making their predictions. The CBS Sports college football analysts made their picks, and they had some disagreement.
“Where Georgia struggles right now is they’re 50th in the country offensively… And a QB who throws it to the other team.”@CoachNeuheisel says he’s taking No. 7 @Vol_Football over the 12th-ranked Dawgs this Saturday pic.twitter.com/CtB0QNMQov

Former coach Rick Neuheisel went with Tennessee because of the lack of firepower for the Georgia offense.
“This should be a monster game, and I expect it to be,” Neuheisel said. “You’ve got Tennessee who is a top-10 offense and defense nationally. Georgia is always going to be highly ranked on defense, but Georgia struggles right now guys is they’re 50th on offense in the country. You just mentioned 15th (in SEC) in rushing, with a quarterback who throws it to the other team. How are you going to move the ball?”
In his last 6 games, Carson Beck has thrown 12 interceptions, with 3 games of 3 interceptions.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and the game will be on ABC.
As much as I like and respect the Tennessee glide path, this isn’t the year they beat Georgia. May be close, but no banana this time.
