CBS Sports’ college football analysts are split down the middle on Saturday night’s colossal showdown between top-ranked Texas and 5th-ranked Georgia in Austin.

For former Notre Dame offensive lineman Aaron Taylor, it’s all about the Bulldogs, who he sees prevailing despite a hostile environment to help keep their Playoff hopes alive and well.

“This will be by far the best passing offense (Texas) has faced,” said Taylor.

Former Washington and Colorado head coach Rick Neuheisel echoes Taylor’s sentiments, believing that a few of Georgia’s wideout weapons could make the difference.

“I think Georgia has found something in Arian Smith and Dillon Bell,” said Neuheisel.

The other 2 CBS Sports analysts believe the night will belong to the boys in burnt orange.

Former UCLA offensive lineman Randy Cross went with Texas, commenting that it was strange to see a Georgia team so dependent on its passing game and that wouldn’t be quite enough to get the Bulldogs over the hump in Austin against a Texas defense that’s allowed just a combined 38 points in its 6 victories this season.

Brian Jones, who happened to play linebacker at Texas, makes it a 2-2 split among the analysts, going with his alma mater in a game that promises to help decide the College Football Playoff field in December.
