CBS Sports experts predict SEC's order of finish for 2016
CBS Sports released its predictions for the 2016 SEC season, which included the predicted order of finish, most overrated team, most underrated team and bold predictions.
Six of the seven experts picked Alabama to win the SEC West. Only Chip Patterson selected LSU.
Tennessee and Georgia were each picked to finish first in the SEC East by three experts, while Florida received one vote from Jon Solomon. Coincidentally, three of the four analysts who picked against the Vols also called them the “most overrated” team in the SEC. Ole Miss and Florida were also mentioned as teams who were overhyped entering the season.
Four analysts picked Texas A&M as the “most underrated” in the conference, including Patterson, who claimed he is “too blinded by Christian Kirk’s speed, a Myles Garrett-Daylon Mack- Daeshon Hall line and the dream of a dominant Ricky Seals-Jones” to harp on the Aggies’ past flaws.
Dennis Dodd provided the most notable bold prediction claiming “two SEC teams will qualify for the College Football Playoff — Alabama and LSU.” Tom Fornelli predicted that A&M won’t win the West, but will defeat both Alabama and LSU in 2016.

I love being the proverbial “underdog.” Makes victory all that much sweeter.
Yeah it does. I don’t know if and how much talent Spurrier left at SC but they could surprise some. Although I don’t have a lot of faith in Muschamp. And averaging 9 wins a season for the last 11 tells me that prognosticators that pick MU to win less than 8 are idiots.
Florida is overhyped? Since when has everyone predicting you to lose every game of the season been considered overhyped?
The season is almost here. Then all these predictions will give way to actual football on the field. It’s gonna be fun.
