CBS Sports projects 9 SEC teams to play in bowl games following Week 1

Week 1 was a rough one for many SEC teams, including Mizzou, Tennessee, South Carolina, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.

However, Week 2 provides an opportunity to bounce back and pick up win No. 1 for the season. That would help teams strengthen their projected bowl games.

This week, CBS Sports expert Jerry Palm updated his bowl rankings, and has 9 SEC squads projected to play this postseason. See the predictions here:

Alabama

  • Peach Bowl (CFP) vs. Georgia

Auburn

  • Liberty Bowl vs. Baylor

Florida

  • Citrus Bowl vs. Nebraska

Georgia

  • Peach Bowl (CFP) vs. Alabama

Kentucky

  • Texas Bowl vs. TCU

LSU

  • Sugar Bowl vs. Texas

Mississippi State

  • Gator Bowl vs. Wisconsin

Mizzou

  • Music City Bowl vs. Virginia Tech

Texas A&M

  • Outback Bowl vs. Michigan State
