The end of October means that the final stretch of the college football season is here, with just a handful of games remaining until conference championships get underway.

With Week 8’s games completed, CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm has released his latest bowl projections.

As usual, Palm began by revealing his predictions of the 4 College Football Playoff teams. Georgia is unsurprisingly slotted at No. 1 and would be paired with 4th-seeded Cincinnati in the Orange Bowl. Of course, that would be a rematch of last year’s Peach Bowl, which saw the Dawgs hold off the Bearcats via a last-second field goal by Jack Podlesny. As for the Cotton Bowl, No. 2 Oklahoma is projected to face No. 3 Ohio State.

For the remainder of the New Year’s 6 bowls, Palm projects a pair of SEC teams. Alabama is predicted to face Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl, while Kentucky is paired with Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl, which would be the Wildcats’ first major bowl appearance since the 1950 Sugar Bowl vs. Oklahoma.
