Class of 2024 running back Jason Patterson announced Tuesday morning that he is flipping his commitment from Cincinnati to Kentucky.

When asked why he’ll be moving on from his commitment he’s held since August, Patterson insisted that he wants to play in the conference where the best players in the country compete. Obviously, there’s a step-up in competition from the Big 12 to the SEC.

Patterson hails from Sneads HS in Florida and is a 3-star prospect, standing at 5-11, 200 pounds. Kentucky and Vanderbilt were his only SEC offers.

Patterson is considered to be the No.  521 overall prospect in the Class of 2024, as well as the No. 43 RB and No. 63 player out of Florida.

Kentucky now has 2 RBs committed in the Class of 2024, Patterson and 3-star Tovani Mizell. . Patterson is the 22nd commitment for the Wildcats’ 2024 cycle.
