A clean sweep: CBS analysts are in agreement on Auburn-Mississippi State winner
One of the biggest games in the SEC this weekend will be played in Auburn, as the Tigers host Mississippi State.
Both teams enter the game with 3-1 records and plenty of question marks, but whichever team wins will still be in good shape to challenge Alabama for the SEC West title.
However, when CBS Sports Network’s analysts picked the game, there was no indecisiveness, as all four experts — Brian Jones, Aaron Taylor, Rick Neuheisel and Randy Cross — think the Tigers will win on Saturday:
Another clean sweep!

A second-straight loss wouldn’t be good for coach Dan Mullen’s Bulldogs, but pulling off an upset at Auburn won’t be easy.
Either way, Saturday’s matchup should be a great game, as both teams employ stout defenses and powerful rushing attacks.
The game kicks off at 5 p.m. Central time and can be seen on ESPN.
Good we like it that way, we always play better when we have something to prove!
MSU plays better at home. There was great intensity against LSU. Nothing against UGA.
At home with the illegal noisemakers they need to turn that dump into a competitive environment
Yeah like last Saturday.
Ehh, that’s understandable. Fitz struggles against elite defenses, Auburn has one. And it’s on the road. Honestly I’ll probably predict State to lose this one as well, but I don’t think Auburn is unbeatable, especially if State’s d-line steps back up and causes Auburn’s offensive line trouble all night.
I’m expecting a loss but I hope they play much cleaner and with more effort than they did against Georgia. Tough to win on the road against a great defense. But I still expect State to have a good season, 8-4 is what I felt before the season and that hasn’t really changed, just playing a little better defense than I anticipated. A win here wpould put them on track for a great season relative to MSU average and I thought we’d have to wait a year to have a shot at a great season.
I think State should go 9-3. They should really only lose to the Bama schools. The rest of their schedule isn’t too daunting.
Honestly I see this game going either way. If state can get to Stidham enough I don’t see us winning. Our offense has definitely improved alot since Clemson, but the jury is still out on our O-line.
The o line is awful and State has a solid d line. I really don’t think that either team will break 25 unless the reshuffle on the line has some benefit. If Darius James is back this week and they revert to the original lineup I’m not sure that’s a good thing
