The latest Coaches Poll is out and the SEC once again has 6 teams represented in the top 25. The last 2 polls have also had 6 SEC teams in the rankings.
The Coaches Poll does not figure into the College Football Playoff rankings or bowl assignments. The poll, however, shows us what the top minds in the sport are thinking after Championship Weekend.
In last week’s poll, Georgia, Michigan, Washington, and Florida State were the top 4 teams. This week, Michigan, Washington, and Florida State are the top 3 teams. Texas and Alabama are tied at No. 4, which is interesting ahead of the CFP rankings show.
Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon, Missouri, and Penn State round out the rest of this week’s top 10. The Bulldogs dropped 5 spots after losing in the SEC Championship.
