The Week 15 Coaches Poll was unveiled Sunday following a Rivalry Week that promoted plenty of chaos.
The rankings certainly reflected that, as a plethora of teams benefitted from the upset losses that Ohio State and Miami suffered.
Here’s the entire rankings, with SEC teams in bold:
- Oregon
- Texas
- Penn State
- Notre Dame
- Georgia
- Tennessee
- SMU
- Ohio State
- Indiana
- Boise State
- Alabama
- South Carolina
- Arizona State
- Miami
- Ole Miss
- Iowa State
- Clemson
- BYU
- UNLV
- Missouri
- Illinois
- Colorado
- Army
- Memphis
- Syracuse
Ohio State (six spots) and Miami (seven spots) each dropped, allowing all the teams behind them to move up 1-2 spots in the rankings.
Alabama is notably ahead of both South Carolina, Ole Miss and Missouri when it comes to the 3-loss SEC programs. Georgia gets the nod ahead of Tennessee thanks to its head-to-head win over the Vols, while Texas takes up the No. 2 spot after its 17-7 win in College Station on Saturday.
Syracuse and Colorado are also both now back in the rankings, with Tulane and Texas A&M having dropped out.
The Aggies were the team with the highest amount of receiving votes (90) that did not make the cut.
The SEC also has the most teams of any conference in these rankings, as the league boasts 7 teams to the Big Ten’s 5.
