Cole Cubelic of the SEC Network was in the booth for the Arkansas win at LSU on Saturday night, but kept an eye on the rest of the SEC as he posted his weekly Sunday takeaways after Week 11.
In his game, Cubelic said Arkansas checked another box off by winning the Boot Trophy. Cubelic said Dan Mullen and Florida don’t have an excuse for giving up so many points to Samford.
He described Georgia as having “multiple superpowers” and the James Cook is critical to the offense.
Here are the rest of his takeaways:
ARKANSAS: What a year! Check another box with the boot. Slow start let LSU stick around. Found big plays late. Needed more QB runs & prob more 16. Lack of tempo hurt. 99 & LB’s really good. Cool to watch a TEAM operate, this group embodies it. Not overly reliant on a few guys.

FLORIDA: It’s Air Raid & Hatcher does a great job but just no excuse. Poor effort & sub par execution. Turnover never easy in season but have yo be able to motivate to an extent. Emory had to take it over. Nice job getting it done. 2 was really good. 22 found the ball often.

KENTUCKY: Could make an AND1 mix tape of that offensive line performance. Seriously, and just play drowning pool behind it. Pure dominance. Levis made good decisions. Still needs more feel on intermediate throws. Cohen did a really nice job setting up play action.

MISSISSIPPI STATE: Rogers is unconscious. Never out of it & always seems adjust & locate over course of a game. Hell of a rally. WR’s made some massive grabs in 2nd half. Defense bounced back late. Kickers showed up! Weirdest team in CFB.

MISSOURI: Badie was great in gap scheme, outside zone, cut backs, getting north/south…he did it all. Nice job mixing the run game. Good to get 8 back. Got some shot plays in with high % throws. Overcame turnovers & flags but 3rd down success helped. Need to get the next one!

SOUTH CAROLINA: Steuggled with run fits. Short handed up front & it showed. 1 still flashed. Down numbers in the box & could not throw them out of it. 64 did some nice things. Formations/motion/shifts still gave them a chance. Can’t complain about effort. Have to get 1 of 2

TENNESSEE: DL was great, esp 21 & 94. Flew to the ball. Just seemed to be on fumes late. Def staff needs more cred. OL played well. C had a nice game. TE’s nice in run game. Needed more YAC. Missed a few shots. HH solid, limited mistakes. Loved the fight. Chance to finish strong.

VANDERBILT: Defensive front just displaced too often. Like what 91 gives them. Tough to see how much QB rotation really helps or potentially holds them back. They do play hard. Need explosive plays & a reliable ground game. Will take time. 19 gives them a big target to offset.
