Cole Cubelic released his weekly SEC takeaways for Week 4 in the conference, which was highlighted by Tennessee’s primetime takedown of Oklahoma in Norman on Saturday night.

The SEC Network analyst had plenty of storylines to delve into, even following a week when Georgia and Alabama were idle.

Five of the top 6 teams in Sunday’s new AP Poll are from the SEC, with Texas staying No. 1 after its pounding of Louisiana-Monroe. Georgia and Alabama remained No. 2 and No. 4, respectively, heading into their titanic Week 5 collision in Tuscaloosa. Tennessee moved up 1 spot to No. 5 after its victory over Oklahoma, while Ole Miss slid back 1 spot to No. 6 despite easily taking care of Georgia Southern.

Among the top 6 teams in the new AP Poll, No. 3 Ohio State is the lone team that’s not from the SEC.

Missouri fell 4 spots to No. 11 after escaping with an overtime victory over Vanderbilt at home. And we hadn’t even mentioned LSU’s national TV victory over UCLA, which moved the Tigers up 2 spots in the poll to No. 14.

Meanwhile, Cubelic called Auburn’s home loss to Arkansas “brutal,” said Florida “had to have” a win over Mississippi State, complimented Kentucky for handling its business against Ohio and, about that huge Tennessee win, said it was “more impressive than I think I could have imagined.”

Here’s a look at Cubelic’s full list of takeaways:
