Cole Cubelic is back with another edition of his SEC takeaways, a weekly social media staple across the league.
The popular analyst for the SEC Network takes time every Sunday evening to share his thoughts and break down every team from across the conference and how they performed in their Saturday games. Across the league, that included 12 teams in action with Ole Miss and Mississippi State idle on bye weeks.
Here is what Cubelic had to say about everything that happened in Week 7:
ARKANSAS: Fought their tails off! 40 was dominant. 28 excellent again, seeing things faster. Love watching him play! Like how secondary isn’t scared to play the run. Got caught on a few stunts but had to have them in. The busts on play action were killers. Mis fit gap runs a…

FLORIDA: Needed that road win. Didn’t fit run well early. Edge players still indecisive. 99 got some push inside. 94 active up front. 1 gave rush off edge. 88 was a bit of a problem. Missed a few big tackles on perimeter. 20 played hard. Play action effective early. Run after…

KENTUCKY: Great start. Had them on the ropes. Then fake punt happen. Momentum was gone, rain came, folks left & got a little desperate. Run game was going. Pass protection was not sufficient. Lead allow Mizzou to play different. Same issues with drops & flags. Just seem to need…

MISSOURI: Fake punt was huge. Felt like that game was over. As big of a momentum swing in a game as I’ve seen. Found a little bit different way to win. DL got going big time after the momentum shifted. 15 & 6 were great up front. Took over late. QB did what he needed to. Couple…

TENNESSEE: DL was dominant. 9, 27, 30 great off the edge. Banks went aggressive & it paid off. Big boys inside disruptive, 20, 21, 99, 10! Didn’t get out of position with movement. Closed space well & tackled. Never let QB get comfy or in rhythm. Let them play 2 deep most of the…

VANDERBILT: Liked the simulated pressures & movement up front on def. It’s feast or famine often but needed. 29 & 15 rushed passer well. 10 did a nice job running thru for tackles. Really good effort up front. Like how they spread it out a little more on off. Quick distribution…
