College basketball will just get underway next week, but it’s never too early for some bracketology.

NCAA correspondent Andy Katz filled out an entire bracket — regions and everything — picked winners of every game all the way until the championship.

Katz selected six teams for his “way too early bracket” and picked Kentucky to win it all.

In addition to Kentucky, Katz predicted Tennessee, Auburn, Mississippi State, Florida, Alabama, and LSU will make the NCAA tournament from the SEC.

Of the other six SEC teams other than Kentucky, Tennessee advanced the farthest, getting to the Elite Eight. The Volunteers earned a No. 2 seed, which was the second-highest rated SEC team after the Wildcats.

Auburn followed closely behind as a No. 3 seed. Mississippi State was next with a No. 7 seed in the Katz bracket. Florida and Alabama both came in on the 10-seeded line while LSU brought up the rear in the conference with a No. 11 seed.

Last season, eight SEC teams made the NCAA Tournament. Katz has five of those eight teams returning to the Big Dance in 2019, but he predicts Texas A&M, Missouri and Arkansas will not. Mississippi State and LSU are his two new SEC teams. The Bulldogs haven’t earned a spot in the tournament since 2009.
