College football has so many exciting, great moments that we as fans absolutely love. However, every once in a while, there are negative bad things that can paint the sport in a negative view.

That was the case on Saturday as a fight broke out between the Manchester Spartans and the Bluffton Beavers, two Division III schools.

The game was called after a bench-clearing brawl, where a blindside hit sparked everything.

It all started after a punt and landed and both teams began to go to their respective sidelines. Manchester wide receiver Kenneth Redd Jr. ran and threw a late shot on Bluffton linebacker Travion Curry. After hitting Curry, Redd Jr. threw a kick at him. Players from both of the team’s ran onto the field, and total chaos occurred after that.

Todd King finished the game with 25 carries for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.

The scene made what should have been a joyous day for the Beavers and put a dark cloud over it. The Beavers won the game 50-12 on their homecoming, and moved to 2-5 on the season. The Spartans fall to 0-7 on the year in year one under coach Vann Hunt.
